Vermont man on bail for using threatening language to two women

A man who is accused of telling a woman he will rape and kill her in the mountains will face trial after he appeared in court for his arraignment.

Vermont resident, Calvert Bushay appeared at the Serious Offences Court on March 13, where he denied using threatening language.

He pleaded not guilty that on March 11, in a public place, to wit, the Vermont public road he made use of threatening language to Irma Richards of Rillan Hill to wit “I go knock you out, rape yo and kill yo in the mountain.”

He also pleaded not guilty that on the same day he made use of threatening language to Eva Slater of Vermont to wit, “When me done me ah f*#@ yo and kill yo me na leave until me kill yo tonight.”

Chief Magistrate, Rechanne Browne granted Bushay bail in the sum of $4000.00 with one surety. He is to report to the Vermont Police Station once a week between 6:00 a.m – 6:00 p.m. He is also to have no contact with the virtual complaints; the matters were adjourned and transferred to the Layou Magistrate’s Court.

No one was present at court to sign surety for the defendant; he was remanded in custody.
