Dominic Ollivierre making strides
With less than one year on the US racing scene, Vincentian cyclist Dominic Ollivierre has been achieving remarkable success.{{more}}
Starting off in category 5 and moving to category 3 by the end of the year, Ollivierre had 14 top ten finishes, 7 of which were podiums, with 3 wins.
This year, he became a member of the West Coast Cycling team of Tampa, Florida. On Saturday, February 9, in the âTeam Florida race daysâ event held in Gainesville, Florida, Ollivierre was on the winning team for the time trial event, beating the 2nd place team by over 20 seconds.
On Sunday, February 10, Ollivierre placed 2nd in the criterium, being edged out in a sprint to the line by .09 of a second. The following weekend, on February 17, he collected a 3rd position in âThe race for Humanityâ criterium held in Dade City, Florida.
Last year, he also finished 3rd overall in the Florida Cup championship and 10th overall in the Florida points series.
