Twenty receive Basil Charles Foundation scholarships and bursaries for 2026
Twenty new students have been added to The Basil Charles Educational Foundation (BCEF) Scholarship programme, which this year celebrates 30 years.
The foundation annually awards students who exemplify academic excellence but face financial constraints to pursue their dreams and reach their fullest potential.
ACADIA CHARLES, a former recipient
At this year’s scholarship award ceremony held on Monday, August 10, 2026, at Basil’s at Villa, 10 students received full-time scholarships, while 10 received bursaries.
During the ceremony, the new awardees heard from former recipient Acadia Charles, who has benefited from the scholarship for both her Secondary and college years, a support she said that made significant difference.
