RedRootSVG to launch island-wide Human Rights Campaign

RedRootSVG Inc is set to launch an island-wide initiative designed to educate, empower, and engage citizens on their fundamental human rights and responsibilities on advancing and protecting human rights. This campaign to run for a period of 10 months in different communities across the mainland, is scheduled to begin in Diamond Estate on September, 26, 2026, Redroot SVG Inc said in a release.

The campaign will continue in Rose Hall on October 24, Georgetown on November 21, and Barrouallie on December 19. In 2027, the campaign moves to Chateaubelair on January 23, 2026, on February 20, it will continue in Paul’s Avenue, in Fancy on March 27, at Largo Heights on April 24 and will wrap up in North Union on May 2, 2027.

In its release, RedRootSVG said this series of events will provide a platform for education, advocacy, and community empowerment, ensuring that the principles of human rights are upheld and promoted throughout the nation.

“Recent incidents of violence have highlighted the importance of protecting the safety, dignity and fundamental rights of individuals within our communities,” the Paul’s Avenue located non-profit said.

” We have also noted that many people lack information about their basic human rights and are therefore not always aware of the protections available to them or what steps they can take when their rights are violated.

“Through this campaign, RedRootSVG Inc. aims to help close this information gap by educating communities about their rights and empowering individuals to recognize, protect and advocate for themselves and others.”
