Entrepreneur introduces new tequila to the local market
Mohandus “Bobby” Martin is hoping to carve out a niche in the St Vincent and the Grenadines’s (SVG) beverage market by introducing an affordable European tequila cream to consumers, while building a business that could eventually create employment opportunities for Vincentians.
Martin, who resides in Lodge Village, is the local entrepreneur behind the introduction of Lobo Tequila Cream, a product manufactured in Europe and produced in Spain. The tequila cream, which has an alcohol content of 15 per cent, comes in seven flavours and is being distributed locally by Lobo Distributions.
According to Martin, Lobo was introduced to the European market about seven years ago and has been marketed particularly toward young women seeking a different type of drinking experience.
For Martin, however, the venture is about more than introducing another alcoholic beverage to the local market.
He believes that in the current harsh economic climate, consumers should have access to quality products without having to spend excessively.
