Warm welcome for Vincentian NASCAR driver
Rajah Caruth, professional NASCAR Driver and Sporting Ambassador for St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), got a warm homecoming when he arrived on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at the Argyle International Airport (AIA).
A brief ceremony was held at the airport’s VIP Lounge, punctuated by speeches that served as the appetizer to the Vincy welcome for the emerging superstar in the Motor Sport arena.
A motorcade to Barrouallie where a cultural event took place, radio interviews, a youth symposium, as well as visits to Canouan and the Tobago Cays, are all part of Rajah’s packed scheduled which runs until August 16, 2026.
Born to Samantha Caruth nee Kirby, and Roger Caruth of Stubbs, Rajah is the first Caribbean-American to win at Tri-County Motor Speedway, and only the third Black driver to win a NASCAR national series race.
