Byera clinic to be refurbished

Government is planning to refurbish the existing Byrea Clinic which is serving the community.

Speaking on NBC radio on Wednesday October 4, Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves spoke of government’s move to build a temporary clinic which will be used until the existing one is fully repaired.

He said that government is now in the process in purchasing lands at Byrea which are owned by the Anglican Church.

These coastal lands once housed the Byrea Anglican Church and also the primary school.

When acquired, part of the land will be used to construct the temporary clinic in Byrea.

Gonsalves said the proposed property has already been assessed by the chief engineer.

A similar situation was undertaken in South Rivers to repair and upgrade the existing clinic.
