Weekend brings chaos in Kingstown
POLICE OFFICERS in St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) were kept busy between August 14 to August 17, as four separate shooting incidents were recorded, two of which resulted in females being hospitalised.
The chaotic weekend began on Friday, August 14, in the vicinity of a bar in Middle Street, Kingstown, when, at approximately 11 p.m., a man discharged a firearm and wounded a 25-year-old woman of Lowmans Leeward. She was taken to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital
(MCMH) where she received medical treatment and was subsequently discharged.
According to a police report, the woman sustained a gunshot injury to her left arm as she was hanging with several persons inside the establishment.
“…a 29-year-old man entered the premises and allegedly discharged a firearm.
“Persons at the establishment intervened and the firearm was taken from the man. He was subsequently handed over to the police along with the weapon, described as a .38 revolver.
