Journey VincyMas 2027: Road to 50 launched in New York
THE CARNIVAL DEVELOPMENT Corporation (CDC) last Friday, August 14, 2026, blasted off their promotional campaign, “VincyMas 2027 Road to 50,” in the USA at a media conference held at the Consulate General of St Vincent of Grenadines (SVG) in NewYork, and aired live on VC3.
The campaign marks the commencement of the road to celebrating the 50 years since the historic transition of St Vincent and the Grenadines’ carnival from the traditional pre-Lenten season to June-July.
VincyMas will be celebrated from June 25 to July 6, 2027.
Deputy Chairman of the CDC Colin Graham, in his address during the NewYork launch, expressed that it’s the beginning of an important journey.
He said coming out of VincyMas 2026, they are extremely encouraged by the tremendous turnout and support received from Vincentians at home and in the diaspora, as well as visitors who came together in tremendous numbers and demonstrated once again the enormous potential of VincyMas.
While they are satisfied with what was achieved in 2026, Graham said they believe VincyMas 2027 can, and must be bigger, stronger and better.
“As we approach 50 years since the historic transition to the June-July celebrations, we have an opportunity to do more than commemorate an anniversary.We have an opportunity to begin shaping what the next 50 years of VincyMas should look like,” he said.
