Changes in top ranks of SVG Police Force
THE Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) has announced changes in the highest ranks of the organisation, with seasoned officers Trevor “Buju” Bailey now acting as Commissioner of Police (COP), and Junior Simmons acting as the Deputy Commissioner of Police.
In a post the RSVGPF said that in the “leadership and administrative arrangements” which took effect on August 17, 2026, COP Enville Williams and Deputy COP Frankie Joseph, have both gone on leave.Williams commenced seven months of leave on August 17, 2026, and Deputy COP Joseph has proceeded on pre-retirement leave. Both Bailey and Simmons are seasoned law enforcement officers with years of service, Bailey having headed up several departments including the Sexual Offences Unit (SOU) and holding responsibility for crime fighting, while Simmons has also headed up several departments including the Police Public Relations and Complaints Department. In his most recent posting he has held responsibility for the Western Division.
