House of Xen makeup collection now available

PERSONS LOOKING for high quality, affordable, on-the-go makeup with a local twist can try House of Xen.

House of Xen is local girl Jodine Jackson’s latest move to help Vincentian women look and feel their best. It is available exclusively at House of Poshelle (upstairs the former Y De Lima building) on Egmont Street.

House of Xen-Essential Collection was launched on June 29 and in an interview on Wednesday, Jackson said that the line was named after her daughter.

“The Essential Collection consists of different products you can carry in your bag and touch up your face on the go,” explained Jackson.

The line has five different shades of concealers, four different highlighters, four loose powders, three different shades of eyeliners and eyebrow pencils combo and a red limited- edition lipstick called “Jo”.

Jackson, who owns and manages the three-yearold Paragon Modelling Agency, explained that she has an affinity for the beauty industry in St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) and she formulated House of Xen as she was looking for a different avenue to enter.

“There is only one other person with a make-up line here and I would usually hear persons say they are looking for local makeup, so I wanted it to be SVG’s brand,” explained Jackson when asked why she decided to go into the make-up industry.

She added that she has been modelling since she was five, so she thinks she has a good idea of what persons want as her early start in modelling has seen her on the local beauty scene for the last 26 years.

House of Xen makeup is produced in China and Jackson said that she is currently working on a website and different collections, which are expected to be out in December.

“My products are of a high quality and I have received great reviews. I have sampled them myself and I love them. I would not sell a product without me being able to use them,” said Jackson who is encouraging persons to “buy local because they are very affordable, and everyone should go out and get House of Xen, high-quality products.”
