GHS commences 107th anniversary week of activities
The St Vincent Girls’ High School has begun a week of activities to celebrate the school’s 107th anniversary.Yesterday, the school held a Timeline Assembly and a Career Showcase, which saw students presenting biographies about founding teachers.Today, Tuesday May 8, a church service will be held at the New Testament Church at Wilson Hill from 9 am.
On Thursday May 10, the Inaugural ‘Gillis Francis Math Quiz’ will be held at the school, from 1 pm, in honour of Francis, a teacher who died earlier this year after teaching at the school for 17 years. On Friday, May 11, a Traditional Games & Fun Day for past and present students will take place.The St Vincent Girls’ High School was established May 9, 1911, and continues its tradition of excellence.
