Japan invites proposals for Grassroots project
The Embassy of Japan is inviting interested local non-profit organizations, including non-governmental organizations, schools, hospitals and local government authorities designed to benefit communities at grassroots level to submit projects for financial assistance under the Japanâs Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP).
The embassy is in the process of accepting GGP applications for the fiscal year 2018 (April 1, 2018 â March 31, 2019) in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
Projects can be submitted in the areas, but not limited to, poverty alleviation, public welfare, the environment (including climate change mitigation and adaptation) and disaster risk management, primary health care and education. A ceiling of 10,000,000 Japanese yen, equivalent to US$89,285 is set on one project for the fiscal year 2018.
The Embassy will start the evaluation of received applications for this fiscal year in April 2018. Interested personnel should submit applications to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Administrative Building, 3rd Floor, Bay Street, Kingstown, by March 31, 2018.
