Marriaqua initiative donates to less fortunate children

The Marriaqua Back to School Initiative recently donated 100 book bags and school supplies to pupils of the four primary schools in the constituency of Marriaqua.

Naomi Prince, chair of the committee and wife of parliamentary representative for the area St Clair ‘Jimmy’ Prince, told SEARCHLIGHT that one of their goals is to assist the less fortunate in the Marriaqua community.{{more}}

She said that the donations came from locals, as well as persons in the diaspora, with the exercise books being donated by Gaymes Bookstore.

The five-member committee is looking to expand the programme in the coming years.(CM)
