Hotel Association hoping Cobblestone Inn hotel situation could be resolved
The St Vincent and the Grenadines Hotel and Tourism Association (SVGHTA) has expressed its concern regarding the notice served on the management of The Cobblestone Inn by the National Properties Ltd to cease business operations at its current location effective September 30, 2016.{{more}}
In a release issued on August 10, the SVGHTA said The Cobblestone Inn is a long-standing and a very supportive member of the Association and that its proprietor, Ann Joshua, âa seasoned hotelier, is known to manage with tremendous passion, offering her clients quality products/services which she continuously upgrades.
âWe in the sector view this notice as unfortunate, bearing in mind the dynamic nature of our tourism and hospitality industry.
âThe SVGHTA will continue to monitor closely this situation in the hope that this matter could be resolved in a manner which benefits all concerned, particularly employees, suppliers, reservation holders, Cobblestone Inn management, the SVG Government and our countryâs tourism industry in general.â
