Imagination Mas Band aiming for the top for Vincy Mas 2016
Leaders of the mas band Imagination are looking to come with a bang for Vincy Mas 2016 with their production: 12 Signs of the Zodiac.
During a visit to SEARCHLIGHT last Wednesday, band leader Norman Quashie said they are looking to take the top spot for this yearâs Carnival.{{more}}
âLast year we came sixth, so this year we are trying our best to push it forward and come better than last year. Everybody knows the 12 signs of the zodiac, so it should be sexier than last year,â Quashie said.
He also indicated that there would be a mix of modern and traditional costumes; however, they are planning to keep the traditions alive.
The band is officially launching its 2016 production on Saturday at the Sion Hill intersection and interested persons will receive a 10 per cent discount if they register on Saturday.
There will be performances by the Sion Hill Euphonium steel orchestra, as well as music from a popular DJ.
Costume prices are $150 for children and $350 for adults.
Interested persons may visit the mas tent on Murrayâs Road, opposite the Ministry of Agriculture. (CM)
