Ahdrenalin Carnival set to launch 2016 production

Ahdrenalin Carnival is set to launch their Vincy Mas 2016 presentation on Tuesday, February 16, 2016.

This year’s presentation “How Dare You – The Burlesque Sensation”, will see six sections, consisting of frontline and backline costume options, said to be designed by some of the region’s finest carnival costume designers.{{more}}

The launch on February 16, 2016 will be purely virtual. A release from the band states “We’ve chosen to do a virtual launch, because we want all of our masqueraders to feel equally important, regardless of where they are, and more importantly we want to ensure the focus of the launch is solely on the quality and creativity of our costumes.”

“The Burlesque Sensation” will go LIVE from 8 p.m. AST via www.ahdrenalin.com and “Ahdrenalin Carnival” on Facebook and Instagram. 2016 registration forms can be accessed thereafter, and in-tent registration at Frenches Gate (opposite Stoplight restaurant) begins the following day, Wednesday, February 17, 2016, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Masqueraders who register on Wednesday will receive $125 discount on their costume upon completion of payment.

The first phase of registration will take place 17 – 20 February, 11a.m. – 6 p.m. daily. The second phase will commence Friday, February 26, 2016. Deposits on costumes are EC$400 (Frontline) and EC$200 (Backline), payable by cash, cheque or money order.

Addressing last year’s fiasco, Ahdrenalin Carnival commented, “We took away a very valuablelesson from last year’s truck situation. While were not the first band to experience truck difficulty on Carnival Tuesday, we are ultimately responsible for ensuring that each masquerader has the time of their lives with us, regardless of if the occurrence is directly or indirectly a fault of ours, such as the truck. For 2016, we have much to prove to everyone and also ourselves. We’ve raised the quality of our product significantly, from our costumes to our on-the-road experience. We owe this to our masqueraders. We’ve assessed and re-worked. We’ve re-emerged as an even more dedicated band today, because of 2015. We thank our loyal sponsors and masqueraders for sticking by us, as they add to our strength.”

The band also stated they’ve put several discounts, individual and groups, in place to rewardmasqueraders for their continued support. Despite the failed truck last year, Ahdrenalin Carnival still experienced some success, having captured the 2015 “King of the Bands” title.
