Curtains come down on third round of Guinness ‘Got Balls?’ pool competition
Pool enthusiast Dygo Sergeant is into the finals of the 2016 Guinness âGot Balls?â pool competition.
Sergeant won the third leg of the tournament, which was held last Friday, January 29, at the Tunnel View Bar in Byera.{{more}}
âI feel proud; my daughter tell me to bring it home and I did,â said the New Montrose resident, who defeated last yearâs overall winner Alson Barker in the final game of the third round.
Sergeant, who won 2-0, said that he has been playing pool since he was 10 years old, while he stressed that he is looking forward to the finals, which will be held on March 12.
For winning, the ecstatic dreadlocked man took home EC$500 and a trophy.
The fourth round of the 2016 competition takes place this Friday, February 5, at Over the River Grocery in Overland.
The other games will be played at Big City Life Bar in Richland Park on Friday, February 12; Bequia on Saturday, February 20; Azard St Hill in Troumaca on Saturday, February 27 and Tree House Bar in Arnos Vale on Saturday, March 5, with the grand finale on Saturday, March 12, at a venue not yet decided.
Into the finals so far are Andy Lynch and Ozzie St Hillaire.
The competition uses the best of three elimination process; registration takes place between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. and persons must buy three Guinness stouts to register.
