Massy Stores adds pharmacy to range of services

The Upper Bay Street branch of Massy Stores has added a pharmacy to its wide range of services.

The newest pharmacy in Kingstown is located on the right, immediately on entering Massy Stores Kingstown and is headed by managing pharmacist Shevon Cameron, while prescriptions are also being filled by pharmacist Oneka Williams.

Marketing officer at Massy Stores Petra Plato, speaking on Monday during the opening of the pharmacy said that the latest addition is “another addition to the services offered by Massy Stores.”

She revealed that for this entire week, persons who shop at the Massy Pharmacy will get double points on their Massy Card, while elderly customers (60 and over) who fill prescriptions at the pharmacy will receive 10 per cent off their purchases.

Free blood pressure checks are also being done in-store by nurse Arthur Lawrence.

Commenting during the opening, managing pharmacist Cameron said that she has been a pharmacist for eight years and has worked in Guyana. She has been practising her profession in St Vincent and the Grenadines for the last three and a half years and brings a wealth of experience to Massy Stores.

“I know people will like this because of the convenience. We are here to serve, so come in and be assured that it is a professional and confidential service,” said Cameron on Monday, stressing that they offer a wide range of pharmaceutical services, vitamins and over-the-counter items.

Assistant pharmacist Williams has been in the field for over six years and describes herself as customer friendly and someone who loves to serve people, “when it comes to health care.”

She described the new pharmacy as a “convenience to shoppers.”

The pharmacy is open Monday to Saturday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sundays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.(LC)
