Richards, Farrell win ‘Grillin’ with Hairoun this Summer’ raffle

Jamal Richards and Monifa Farrell are the lucky winners of the St Vincent Brewery Limited’s ‘Grillin with Hairoun this Summer’ raffle promotion.

Richards and Farrell won themselves each a barbecue grill, 10 cases of Hairoun Beer and EC$200 worth of meat.{{more}}

The raffle was drawn on Thursday, October 1, at the Save A Lot supermarket on Upper Bay Street by trade marketing officer at the Brewery Lamont Medica, in the presence of marketing and corporate communications assistant at Save A Lot Petra Plato.

Richards, who hails from Montrose said that he “feels good” that he won the raffle. He purchased his six-pack at Randy’s Wholesale and said that when he received the call stating that he had won the raffle he thought it was a prank call.

“This is the first time I ever win anything,” said Richards, who revealed that he will be having a “drink-up” with his friends.

Farrel said that she was excited when she heard that she had won. She said that she bought her six-pack at Save A Lot and she plans to throw a party with her winnings. She is from Sion Hill.

The promotion asked persons to write their name, address and phone number on their receipt when purchasing a Hairoun Beer six-pack at participating supermarkets. The receipts were then placed in a special box.

The promotion began on August 14 and according to Medica, the Brewery wanted to “spice up” summer, hence the promotion, which was geared at rewarding customers.
