Special Olympics team treated by Digicel, BOSVG to fun day

The St Vincent and the Grenadines team returning from the Special Olympics World Games in Los Angeles was treated to a special day of activities on Friday, August 7, by Digicel and the Bank of St Vincent and the Grenadines (BOSVG).

The day of activities for the athletes began with a professional photoshoot to display the athletes’ medals.{{more}} They were then treated to lunch at the offices of the Bank of St Vincent and Grenadines. From there, they ended their fun-filled day with a motorcade that took them around the streets of Kingstown, dancing to the music, waving and celebrating with persons on the streets.

When asked how his day went, Walsh Ollivierre stated, “It was so fun! Can we do it again?”

Digicel and BOSVG took pride in putting such big smiles on the faces of these Special Olympians. They made us proud to be Vincy.

The team returned home with a total of 21 medals: four gold, 11 silver and six bronze medals. The team consisted of 26 athletes and six coaches.
