Youth Affairs launches outreach community programme

The Youth Affairs Division in the Ministry of National Mobilization has launched its innovative community outreach programme targeting youth in Rose Place, Edinboro and Ottley Hall communities.

The project was launched on Tuesday, April 28, at the Youth Affairs Division conference room. The first session held had 18 youth and nine parents from the community participating.{{more}}

The participants were exposed to an interactive environment, created by lead facilitator Raymond Cockburn of the Youth Division. In his first session, he focussed on usage in the English language environment; he utilized interactive media – multi-media, video and paper work.

The main aim of Project E-magination is to provide participants with a stimulating environment, encouraging them to want to learn, improve their reading and writing skills and mathematical skills. This is being done through creative and critical thinking, creative writing and stimulation.
