Post mortem results will not be released – Police

The traffic department of the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force says the reports of the post mortem examinations of the five persons who perished at Rock Gutter, almost three weeks ago, will not be released.{{more}}

“We will not release that information. That sort of information will only be revealed if the matter goes to a Coroner’s Inquest or the driver is charged,” station sergeant Junior Nero told SEARCHLIGHT on Wednesday.

He further added that the information was also too sensitive to be released.

On January 12, five students were killed when omnibus HL 636 ran off the road in Rock Gutter and plunged into the sea.

Fourteen other persons were injured, while two are still missing and are presumed dead.

A joint funeral and tribute service took place on January 25, at Fancy, which saw thousands in attendance paying their final respects to those who lost their lives.(KW)
