Meeting for family members of British Service personnel

Francoise Reid, Tri-Service Community Casework and Support Officer, Eastern Caribbean, will be hosting a meeting on January 17, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Frenches House, Frenches, Kingstown, for the family members of British Service Personnel (Army, Royal Navy, Royal Marines and RAF) who have been recruited from St Vincent and the Grenadines.{{more}}

The meeting will give Service families up-to-date information, advice and support regarding whether the serving person can return home to St Vincent if someone falls ill within their family or if there are other family problems; what happens if the serving person falls ill or is injured; what to do if the family are concerned about the welfare of their serving relative; how to prepare for the deployment of the serving person; how to stay in touch with a serving family member; visa issues and how to become part of the world-wide ‘Service community’.

There will be a presentation about the support services available to Service personnel and their families and how to access these, followed by an open discussion about any welfare issues which are of concern to family members.

Please note this is a private meeting to allow family members to discuss any areas of concern to them. Details of the serving person (Service Number, Rank etc) will be requested in order to enter the meeting.

This is NOT a recruitment exercise by the British Forces.
