The village of Carriere will come alive tonight when the Carriere Nine Mornings Committee turns on its Christmas lights with a grand ceremony on the Carriere main road at Muriel Davis gap.{{more}}
The ceremony will be done in two parts; the spiritual which will occupy the first half of the programme, followed by the more secular part.
Bishop Sonny Williams of the Glad Tidings Tabernacle in Gomea will do the exhortation. He will be supported by the Carriere Nine Mornings worship team, Cherry-Ann Pompey-Isaacs and the Mesopotamia Gospel Hall Choir among others.
Minister of Culture Cecil McKie will deliver the feature address, deputy chairman of the national committee Lennox Bowman will also address the audience. Other performances are expected from the Vinlec Choir, the Bowmans, Carlton CP Hall, Calypsonian Parry among others. The lights will be turned on during the ceremony.
Nine Mornings activities in Carriere will get going on December 16 from 4 a.m. daily.
