Youths to showcase talent at Pan Against Crime concert

The talents of some of the youths of St Vincent and the Grenadines will be showcased this Saturday, when the Pan Against Crime holds a concert in Georgetown.{{more}}

The concert, which will complement the official launch of the Georgetown and Colonarie/Bequia police youth clubs, will be held on Saturday November 15 at 4 p.m., at Georgetown.

The event is being organized by the Pan Against Crime Committee, the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force and the National Commission on Crime Prevention.

It will showcase the talents of youths from several Police Youth Clubs, the Mustique Charitable Trust Georgetown All Stars and Sandy Bay Steel Orchestras, with the Police Band also providing music.

The Police Christian Soldiers Ministry will conduct a session of praise and worship, while Pastor Hollis Charles of Bethel Gospel Assemblies will deliver an exhortation. Addresses will be delivered by Commissioner of Police Michael Charles and Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves, who will deliver the feature address.

The declaration of the official launch of Georgetown and Colonarie-Byera Police Youth Clubs will be made during the concert.

The Ottley Hall Police Youth Club was officially launched with a church service at the Open Bible Church at Ottley Hall on November 2.

The Pan Against Crime Program, brainchild of Prime Minister Gonsalves, is into its sixth year of existence and includes 13 community and school-based steel orchestras.
