Green Hill children’s playground gets new slide and swing

Sunday, July 20 saw a refurbished swing and slide officially being commissioned at the Green Hill Children’s Playground.

The swing was rebuilt after the one installed through the Social Investment Fund project became unsafe due to decay of the construction materials.{{more}}

The refurbishment of the swing and slide was done with support from a church based in Scrabo, Northern Ireland. A representative from the church, Fred Copeland aka “Uncle Fred” was on site to hand over the swing and slide which were constructed locally.

During the days leading up to the commissioning of the swing and slide, a local religious team comprising representatives from different churches in SVG which receive support from the Northern Ireland church, held a Vacation Bible School (VBS) on the compound of the children’s playground in collaboration with the Green Hill Sports and Cultural Club Inc. The GHSCC Inc. wishes to express its gratitude to the team, Uncle Fred and the Northern Ireland Church.
