The St Vincent and the Grenadines Chamber of Industry and Commerce, in conjunction with the Energy Unit, will host a symposium entitled: GREEN BUSINESS DAY “Increasing Profitability through Energy Efficiency”, this Thursday, from 5 p.m.{{more}}

The symposium aims to inform the SVG business community about ways to reduce their energy outputs, which is one of the most significant overhead expenses to many companies, a release from the Chamber said.

Any reduction in energy spending could lead to increased profitability.

The event will be held adjacent to the Chamber’s office at the Cruise Ship Terminal Building.

There will be a mini-exhibition showcasing companies that offer products and services that increase commercial energy efficiency. Representatives from financial institutions will also be on hand to give information on lending programmes and financing available for green business activities, including retrofitting and green construction.

The event is only open to businesses and interested attendees may contact the SVG Chamber of Industry and Commerce to register.
