Junior Squash trio get BOSVG recognition
There were three special awardees when the April 8-11, 2026 Tus-T Water Easter Junior National Squash Tournament ended at the National Squash Centre, Paul’s Avenue.
The trio of Andy Antrobus, Ethan Webster and Maria Chapman were the recipients of the Bank of SVG awards.
Antrobus, the son of national cyclist Lucky Antrobus, was adjudged to be the most determined player.
According to the brief citation given about the young Antrobus, he is ever present at practice sessions, punctual, and is often the last to leave the court.
Antrobus played in the Under- 15 age group of the tournament.
Meanwhile, Webster was deemed the most improved player. He copped the Under-15 title at this year’s National Junior Tournament.
Competing at the Barbados Junior Open last month, Webster took silver in the Under-13 age group, and placed third in the Under-15.
Chapman, the other BOSVG awardee, was deemed the player who exhibited the best sportsmanship.
Chapman finished third in the Girls Under-17 singles of the 2026 tournament.
The BOSVG awards are set to be made annually at ensuing National Junior tournaments.
BOSVG has been a longstanding ally of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Squash Association.
