Consultant charged with three counts of deception

THE POLICE, on September 5, 2026, arrested and charged Liane Jaxon-Defreitas, a 33-year-old consultant of Green Hill, with three counts of deception.

In release the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) said their investigations revealed that on January 1, 2026, the accused allegedly obtained $500.00 dishonestly from a 48-year-old legal secretary of Richland Park, with the intent of permanently depriving her of it.

The accused is further alleged to have dishonestly obtained EC $1,300.00 from a 25-year-old massage therapist of Bequia on July 31, 2026, with the intent to permanently deprive her of it.

She is also alleged to have dishonestly obtained EC$1,300.00 from a massage therapist of Bequia on August 8, 2026, with the intent to permanently deprive her of it.

All offences were said to have been committed in Kingstown. Jaxon-Defreitas appeared before the Kingstown Magistrate Court on September 7, 2026, where she pleaded not guilty to the charges. She was granted composite bail in the sum of EC$4,000.00 with one surety.

As part of her bail conditions, the police release said that Jaxon-Defreitas was ordered not to have any contact with the complainants, surrender all travel documents, and report to the Calliaqua Police Station every Thursday between 6:00 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.

Stop notices were also ordered to be placed at all ports of entry and exit.
