Adams resigns as Chairman of CDC

Appointed as Chairman of the Carnival Development Corporation (CDC) in 2016, Ricardo “Ricky” Adams has now resigned from the position.

Word of his resignation started making the rounds on Thursday September 17,2026.

Adams, an engineer and mas man, took over as chairman of the CDC in September 2016, replacing Dennis Ambrose who held the position for over 15 years.

It is not clear what spurred Adams’s resignation as neither the CDC nor Adams has made an official statement.

Adams is the second high ranking statutory organisation official to resign this week. His exit comes on the heels of the resignation of Anna Young as Executive Director of Invest SVG. Young resigned her position last Tuesday, September 15, 2026 with immediate effect.
