Jabari Cunningham joins century parade

Jabari Cunningham hit 101 not out from 59 balls to lead Country Meet Town Out Ah Trouble to an emphatic eight wicket win over Dr Thomas Injectors last Sunday, July, 13,

2025, at the Dauphine Playing Field, in the National Lotteries Authority TBPO 20/20 softball cricket competition.

Cunningham’s knock, aided by Stein Joseph’s 21, powered Out Ah Trouble to 136 for 2 from 15.3 overs.

The defending champions were responding to Injectors’ 135 for 9 in 20 overs. Javon Nero, 47, was the top scorer for Injectors.

Davian Barnum, 2 for 20; Asif Hooper 2 for 21; and Richie Richards 2 for 35, were among the wickets for Out Ah Trouble.

Also on Sunday, Greiggs Young Stars and East Kingstown were in winners row.

Greiggs Young Stars won against Dauphine United by 66 runs.

Young Stars posted 177 for 5 in 20 overs. Delano Woodley hit 77, and Keno Matthews made 38, not out.

Bowling for Dauphine United, Osborne Franklyn picked off 2 for 15.

Dauphine United reached 111 for 8 in their 20 overs, despite Juwan Laborde’s 40, and Michael Hope’s 21.

Jason Daniel scalped 3 for 25, and Emroy James, 2 for 5, bowling for Greiggs Young Stars.

Meanwhile East Kingstown downed Vinlec Power Stars by six wickets.

Vinlec got to 128 for 6 in 20 overs. Kevain Small’s 43 was the top score.

East Kingstown responded with 129 for 4 in 12.3 overs. Delano Webb led with 38 not out, Kareem Peters scored 28, and Joel Gould, 25.

Bowling for Vinlec, John Penniston took 2 for 19.

When the weekend’s matches bowled off on Saturday, Fairbaine United got the better of Kombat Warriors by seven wickets.

Kombat Warriors made 130 for 9 in 15 overs, as the match was reduced because of a late start. Britnol Scott, 44; and Kamari Browne, 31, were the main contributors.

Bowling for Fairbaine United, Anthonio Barker picked up 2 for 12; and Akron Walker 2 for 54.

Bernard Bushay smoked 88 to lead Fairbaine United to 132 for 3 in 11.2 overs.

And Sion Hill Tallawahs made light work of Older Boys by 10 wickets in Saturday’s second match.

Older Boys scored 139 all out in 19.3 overs. Sheldon Da Souza made 41, and Joel Patterson, 32.

Denson Hoyte picked up 2 for 30 for the Tallawahs, who replied with 144 without loss in just 8.5 overs. Shamic Roberts, 62 not out, and Denson Hoyte, 61 not out, provided the batting resilience.
