After being defeated by the Mets in New York the previous weekend, Cavaliers set about making amends by restricting their opponents to 189 for 8 in their 30 overs.

Jacob Emmanuel bagged four scalps and Alston Bacchus, two.

In response, Treldon ‘Keagan’ McMillan and Jacob Emmanuel shared in an opening stand of 82 from 40 balls.

Cavaliers were pegged back by the Mets bowlers, but reached 191 for 7 with an over to spare.

Emmanuel made 51; Alston Bacchus got 27 and Selwyn Caine – 23.

It was the first time that a trophy became part of the annual back-to-back weekend tournament between these two clubs. Previously, they simply played for bragging rights.

President of Cavaliers Cosmos Bailey, speaking of the tour said, “It was an excellent trip, following up in the spirit from where we left off last week, and the excitement in the final overs, with the game coming down to the wire and the tension in the oval; everybody was on their toes… Cavaliers winning put us in a very celebratory mood.”
