Xtreme who is who

KENTON JACKSON

KENTON JACKSON, also known as BSR: this Vincentian born DJ has been based in the United States and Trinidad and Tobago, where he had been the pillar at a number of the top radio stations there.

Jackson brings his wealth of experience to Xtreme 104.3 FM in the capacity of programme director, production manager and DJ, and can be heard weekdays from 6-10 a.m.{{more}}

“I just want to share that knowledge, because what fuels me is to know that I am a part of giving information or helping someone along the way to reach their goal. That’s priceless.

“I think Xtreme is definitely going to be a household name soon, and I really want the station to be an inspiration for the next generation that’s coming up. It’s not just about ‘jam and wine’ and politics, there are other things where entertainment is concerned, and where their mental mindset is going.”

KRISTIN DEANE

KRISTIN DEANE – With fingers on the pulse of the fans, Deane also has her fingers on the computer and smart phone keyboards, as she keeps everyone up to date on social network, to the happenings at the Xtreme 104.3 studio and around the world.

Deane manages the station’s Twitter, Facebook, Instagram pages and website, and gets the local news, sports and entertainment to the ears of its listeners on a timely basis.

She says that the team has been moulded from hard work, dedication and determination, and is ever changing and growing to meet the needs of its fan base.

“One of the things that drives us is the fact that we are willing to listen to our critics and expand, and make whatever changes we would need to make. It’s not a one-man show here at Xtreme, we are improving excel.

“There is always something new and exciting there is never a dull moment; we always keep you entertained. Xtreme 104.3 FM, it’s the best station to be listening right now.”

JASON BESS

JASON BESS, known by his loyal fans as Galanaire Avalaunche, the long time radio announcer and former soca artiste turned producer, says he is excited about the new environment that he is in, and looks forward to what the future holds.

“I have always been willing to embrace change, because change is something that’s need for growth to take place. I welcome new challenges, so to me being here means I am going forward.

“I do appreciate and look forward to serving my listeners and welcoming new listeners.”

Galanaire can be heard Mondays to Thursdays from 2-6 p.m., and on Fridays from 1-4 p.m.

On Sundays, he hosts a special R&B session called “Bae Sundays,” which promises to be something different and special for listeners.

RODNEY KING

Rodney “Fireball” King has been a staple of the radio industry for decades and brings his wealth of knowledge and experience to the Xtreme FM family, after being one of the top names and voices in radio in Trinidad and Tobago.

According to his bio, he understands the impact his persona has on his listeners, and prides himself on being positive, modern and entertaining with his distinctive voice, high energy and unique style, but at the same time with an air of professionalism and caution in the messages he sends to his listeners.

King teams up with Shanubi on the morning show, weekdays from 6 – 10 a.m.

NATASHA PETERS

NATASHA PETERS – Shanubi’s mission is clear. According to her bio on the radio station’s website (www.x104fm.com), when she is in the studio, her duty is to “make the listeners, smile, laugh, think outrageously, and to feel an amazing, uplifting vibe and spirit that pushes one to have a better persona, while simultaneously passing on information.”

Shanubi has been doing that over the years, and that persona would be magnified, now that she is part of the Xtreme FM family.

Fans of Shanubi and her unpredictable off the chain antics can hear her weekdays at 6 – 10 a.m. with her equally entertaining co-host Rodney “Fireball” King.

KELLON BELGRAVES

KELLON BELGRAVES – From “Baby Swift” to “Top Notch Swift,” this radio personality may have changed his names, but you can still look forward to the raw energy he brings to the studio on a daily basis.

He is known for his upbeat, friendly attitude, versatility and love for entertaining and entertainment, and is also considered a down-to-earth individual who is willing to learn and help wherever he can.

The DJ and announcer, who is also a performer and sound engineer, promises to continue entertaining Xtreme FM listeners, and can be heard on air 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. weekdays.
