Is the gas station next to Subway a passenger van terminal?
EDITOR: Is the SOL Gas station, next to SUBWAY downtown, a bus stop for vans? My reason for this question is because on evenings after 4 p.m., the gas station is crowded with vans collecting and waiting for passengers there. These vans I am talking about are not there purchasing fuel, but rather, waiting for passengers.
This is indeed very unfortunate, because they usually block the entrance for customers wanting to purchase their fuel. After all, the gas station is a business place. Also, when vehicles want to exit the gas station after purchasing fuel, they are hindered by these minivans, which are parked along the entrance to the gas station.
This action can, of course, discourage customers from purchasing gas at this gas station during those times, because of the difficulty of trying to get to the pump.
I know that the vans drivers can argue that they purchase fuel at the station and can threaten to stop purchasing gas at that station. However, they have to understand that it is a business place and they have to allow the free flow of traffic in and out of the gas station… the gas station is not a bus stop!
It is time that minivans go to the bus terminal and collect passengers. Also it is time that police be aware of this situation and patrol the area and deal with this problem. It can be very frustrating for both the customers and gas station employees, who are unable to do their jobs effectively. They try sometimes, but are met with resistance from these van drivers.
Thank you and let us work together.
