Patel vs Carlos; who is the better candidate?

Editor: Patel versus Carlos is indeed an interesting comparison. Both candidates are trying to be the elected representative on elections day. Comparing these two candidates will show that Carlos James is by far the better candidate for North Leeward and deserves to the elected representative when the time comes on December 9, 2015.

PATEL: P: He is not progressive and lacks the potential. He does not possess a positive personality, but instead is some one who lacks good personality. A: He is arrogant and not ambitious.{{more}} T: He is a tale bearer in the case of the scandal surrounding Carlos James. He is not trustworthy and does not hold true to his promises. One of the many promises he made when he was elected in 2010 was to introduce skills training in North Leeward. This we know he never did and lacks the talent to move this constituency forward. E: He is an educated person, but yet can not speak the English language properly. As a former educator, he sat down and allowed the Leader of the Opposition and others to criticize and pull down the Education Revolution, of which he is a recipient. L: He is a lazy person, someone who sits in his shop and does nothing. He lacks the ambition to develop himself as an individual. He is also a lazy person who does not LOVE people.

Where as for Carlos: C: stands for commitment. He is committed to North Leeward and has demonstrated his caring attitude for the people of North Leeward. During the December 2013 floods he was seeing distributing drinking water early in the day. He is a good communicator as evident in his presentations. He is also a man of courage. Amidst the challenges he faced, he never seemed to give up. His commitment so far, while just being a candidate has led to the soon to be completed Cumberland playing field and other projects.

A stands for ability and ambition. He has demonstrated good leadership ability in many ways and also ambitious enough to venture out despite his youthful years. He is ambitious enough to convince donors to sponsor projects, including the ACEP programme where college persons are sponsored to attend college.

R stands for robust. He is very energetic and also is very reliable. He is someone who is dependable and honest. He does not promise if he knows that he can not fulfill it. L stands for LOVE. He loves people. Before entering into politics he has been sponsoring cricket teams and he continues to demonstrate his love and leadership in many areas. He is not a lazy person.

O stands for organized. He is an organized individual. He does not just do things like that; instead he seeks to be orderly and well organized, even in his campaign. Finally S stands for simplicity. He is a down to earth person. He is someone any person can talk to. He does not look down on other persons. He is simply the best.

Carlos James is simply the best and someone who will work dedicatedly for his constituents. His opponents are simply the opposite. Therefore, the choice is clear in North Leeward, it is Carlos James. It is time for a change from Roland ‘Patel’ Matthews to Carlos James.
