By coincidence it was sweet reward for LTD Service Station, managed by Tyrone “Tom” Dickson. The facility, with a 95.5 per cent ratings, copped the No 1 position for customer service among SOL’s Service Station in SVG during the four quarters of 2014.

SOL EC Ltd, one of this country’s leading providers of gas, diesel and LPG (cooking gas) is rebranding all of its service stations from Shell to SOL, as well as launching its own fuel that carries the slogan: “Sol go further!” It’s a nation-wide promotion that forms part of the company’s 10th anniversary celebrations in SVG, since taking over from Shell, a former distributor in 2005. Rebranding of the company’s sites includes physical enhancement of all stations, fitting new pumps, new uniforms for workers and, of course, displaying the company’s new Logo: “Sol Sunblast.”

Friday’s ceremony featured Opening Prayers by Pastor Adolphus Isaacs, short addresses by Steve Francis, SOL’s general manager, Tyrone Dickson, manager of LTD Service Station and Hon Cecil Mc Kie, parliamentary representative for West St George constituency.
