No decision yet on Opposition Senators, says Opposition Leader

THE TWO SENATORS that will debate in the House of Assembly on the Opposition benches are yet to be named, and Opposition Leader, Dr. Ralph Gonsalves says he is still in consultation as to who will be appointed.

At a press conference on Wednesday, December, 8, 2025, the former prime minister said he is carefully considering who to appoint as he looks at peoples’ capacity to balance private and parliamentary responsibilities. He noted also that he is asking about parliamentary arrangements before final decisions are made regarding senators.
