Byera man charged for murder of missing woman
A BYERA MAN has been charged with the murder of a Barrouallie woman, who has been missing since early November.
Joelah Hepburn appeared at the Serious Offences Court before Chief Magistrate Colin John, yesterday, December, 12, 2025 where he was charged that on a date unknown between November 8 and 25, 2025 with malice aforethought caused the death of Lydia Adams of Keartons, Barrouallie by an unlawful act.
Hepburn was not required to plea to the indictable charge and was remanded. The matter is adjourned to January 12, 2026.
Adams has been the subject of a missing-person’s bulletin issued by the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force after she was reported missing earlier this year.
While Hepburn was exiting the courtroom, one of Adams’ loved ones pleaded with him to say what he did with the body of the woman, who family members said was six months pregnant at the time she left for Bequia.
