2Kool Chris found not guilty on wounding charge
A POPULAR DISC JOCKEY was freed from a wounding charge after a Senior Magistrate found too many variances in the prosecution’s account.
Christopher ‘2 Kool Chris’ Jones appeared at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court before Senior Magistrate Tammika McKenzie, on December 10, 2025 for where he was found not guilty for unlawfully and maliciously wounding Kevin Patterson, a 31 year old fisherman of Largo Height, by shooting him in his hip, left hand, and right leg with a gun on July 4, 2024 at Bay Street.
Speaking with the media outside the courtroom, Jones said kudos to the Magistrate because she went through everything with a fine-tooth comb.
“As it relates to the police department and the investigative skill of the arresting officer, he’s a sh..show. He ain’t know nothing way he doing,” claimed Jones, whose last previous appearance in court on the wounding charge was September, 29 2025.
Jones said that while winning felt good, the victory is not really his, it belonged to his wife.
“She died early up in the year, so I’m going to the cemetery and tell her we won this, which was inevitable. This is a victory for my deceased wife.”
