PM Gonsalves confident of election victory in November

With general elections set to take place in St Vincent and the Grenadines on November 27,2025 leader of the Unity Labour Party, Dr Ralph Gonsalves, is confident about his party’s 6th consecutive victory at the polls.

He expressed this confidence on NBC radio on Wednesday morning, October 29, 2025, hours after announcing the widely anticipated election date.

Parliament has already been dissolved, but the prime minister wants everyone to know that the ULP remains in government “until the electorate say that you are no longer in government”.

However, based on the momentum in the country, “I don’t think the people are going to say that,” he said.

“All indications are to the contrary. The people will re-elect the ULP.”

He said under his administration St Vincent and the Grenadines is now “ the second fastest growing economy in CARICOM, second to Guyana, which has oil”.
