US-based non-profit offers scholarships to Vincentians
Island Scholars Inc., a non-profit organisation based in New Jersey, USA is inviting students who are citizens of, and currently reside in St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), to apply for university scholarships from the organisation.
Applicants must have been accepted to attend a university or are currently enrolled and need financial support to pursue a Bachelor’s degree, a release from Island Scholars Inc., states. The funds can be used for housing and tuition, and applicants of all ages are welcome.
Applications should be submitted online at: www.islandscholars.org by July 5, 2026, and recipients will be notified by August 25.
Island Scholars Inc., based in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, was founded in 2014 by Ronald Rose, formerly of New Grounds, with a mission to provide needs-based university scholarships to promising students from St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The organisation said more than 180 scholarships/bursaries have been awarded since 2015, and scholarships are renewed annually if the student maintains a GPA of 3.0 or better.
