Agro-processors address constraints in the sector at Forum
THE CENTRE for Enterprise Development (CED) brought together agro-processors, entrepreneurs, policymakers, financiers and other stakeholders on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, for an Agro-processing Forum aimed at examining the current state of the sector in St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), and identifying pathways for its sustainable growth and development.
Held at the Methodist Church Hall, Kingstown, the forum created a space for dialogue, networking and collaboration among individuals and organisations connected to the agro-processing industry.
Participants were seated in groups around tables, engaging in discussions on opportunities, challenges and strategies for strengthening the sector. Delivering remarks at the opening of the event, General Manager of CED, Ronette Lewis, underscored the growing importance of agro-processing to the national economy and highlighted the opportunities that exist for local entrepreneurs and businesses.
“Agro-processing continues to represent significant and present also significant opportunities for value addition, entrepreneurship and export developments for St Vincent and the Grenadines,” Lewis said.
