Premiership table toppers clash tomorrow at Victoria Park
Defending premier Division champions of the National Football Club Championships Guardian General Hope International will clash with Je Belle from 7 p.m. this Wednesday, as the table toppers go at each other.{{more}}
Hope International have notched up the maximum 12 points, while Je Belle are also perfect from their three matches, with nine points in the bag.
Hopeâs tale of ins, thus far, include a 4-2 trumping on Sion Hill, along with a 3-1 overcoming of Greiggs and a 2-1 ousting of 2013 winners BESCO Pastures.
Last Friday, Hope International made it four in a row, by edging out Toni Stores Jugglers one-nil.
Je Belleâs sojourn has seen them coming away one-nil victors over SV United and recorded 2-1 triumphs over Campdonia-Chelsea and Bequia United.
Tomorrowâs encounter has another twist, as Je Belle came up trumps when both teams last met in the championships back in 2014.
Also Je Belle will be playing under the lights at the Victoria Park for the first time this season, as their previous fixtures were at Brighton, Sion Hill and at the Clive Tannis Playing Field in Bequia.
On the other hand, Hope International are familiar with the Victoria Park surface and conditions, having had three matches played at that venue and the other at Brighton.
Whilst Hope International are out front in the standings and Je Belle in second place, keeping a close watch on them are System Three.
Having played four matches, System Three are also unbeaten, but have two drawn results on their agenda. System Three have eight points.
System Three started slowly by levelling 1-1 with Park Side Rollers and 3-3 with Sion Hill, but picked off both Dove FC and BESCO Pastures, by 2-1 margins.
Bequia United, Campdonia-Chelsea, Greiggs and Avenues United all possess six points, however, Bequia and Campdonia-Chelsea have played three matches, with Greiggs counting four and Avenues two.
Bequia United, Greiggs and Campdonia-Chelsea have suffered one loss apiece.
Closing out the top seven as of last Sunday is Sion Hill, who have five points from four matches.
The bottom half of the standings show SV United four points from four matches while BESCO- Pastures are on three points from three matches; Prospect 1982 are on three points from four matches; Parkside Rollers are on two points from four matches, Toni Stores Jugglers, one from four and Dove, no points from their four outings.(RT)
