Mystery light aircraft located
A TWIN-ENGINE Beechcraft 58P aircraft that was reported missing since Friday, June 12, 2026 after it left the Argyle International Airport, has been located.
Minister of National Security, St Clair Leacock, said on SVG TV’s evening news on June 15, 2026 that the five-passenger aircraft, which departed the AIA on Friday afternoon bound for Tobago, had not only been located, but that an international and regional investigation had been launched concerning the Dominican Republic-registered aircraft. It was reported that the light aircraft had two persons on board along with the pilot. Leacock, however, said that while he could not provide details he could state that there were no deaths.
The Civil Aviation Department within this country’s Ministry of Tourism in a release issued on Monday, June 15, 2026 said it confirmed that the light aircraft, HI1145 a Beechcraft Baron, B58T, departed the AIA on Friday June 12, 2026 at 11:52 a.m. local time with a filed enroute time of one hour and five minutes, bound for the A.N.R. Robinson International Airport, Tobago, with two persons on board.
It said the aircraft maintained normal radio contact with Argyle Air Traffic Control after departure and a transfer of communications was done at a position 40 nautical miles south of Argyle International Airport, the southern limit of St Vincent and the Grenadines’ controlled airspace.
