Top cop tells killers the law is coming after you
COMMISSIONER OF POLICE (COP), Enville Williams has warned the killers involved in last weekend’s triple homicide that a highly coordinated, multifaceted assault is being deployed to incarcerate them. This warning also extends to every person who has been driving the murderers’ vehicles, keeping their secrets, or harbouring them and their weapons in their homes.
At approximately 11:45 p.m. on July 17, 2026, police responded to reports of multiple gunshots in the Chinatown area of Kingstown, yards across from Police Headquarters.
On arrival at the scene, the police said they found three men with apparent gunshot wounds to their bodies. The victims were identified as Claude John, a 50-year-old cart operator of Largo Height; Karon Bowens, a 34-year-old Ottley Hall labourer; and Giovannie Grant, a 23-year-old labourer, also of Ottley Hall.
While addressing the matter on the official social media page of the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF), on Saturday, July 18, 2026 Commissioner Williams offered his condolences to the families to the loved ones of the deceased, and said that these murders mark a deeply troubling escalation in the gun violence confronting the country.
“I know that Vincentians are angry. I know that many are afraid, and I know that the public has heard assurances from the police force before, so today I will not offer another assurance.”
