Revolutionise Your Operations Using AI Tools

Revolutionise Your Operations Using AI Tools

Just a few months ago, I had no idea what AI could do. I did not think that it was something I needed to concern myself with. After all, I never considered myself a techie. I am an HR leader.

However, I asked one simple question, and everything changed. I started exploring ChatGPT. I tested prompts. I customised Gamma decks; the list goes on. I watched tutorials, took accredited courses, and even wrote a few eBooks to document my discoveries. What began as intrigue turned into a focused obsession. And now? I see AI as the tool that simplifies my life and magnifies my impact.

The truth is, across the region, businesses are waking up. Take the island of Anguilla, for example. The New York Times, in an article titled “The A.I. Boom Makes Millions for an

Unlikely Industry Player: Anguilla”. IMF News supported this account in an article titled “An AI-Powered Boost to Anguilla’s Revenues”.

According to the sources, its government earns nearly $32 million a year just from selling “.ai” domain names. That surge is not about hype; it is about real money, generated by global demand for AI-related internet identities.

On a broader scale, AI adoption in the Caribbean has doubled in 2025, especially in human resources, tourism, finance, supply chain management, and customer service. About a third of businesses are already using AI tools, and another 30% are planning to jump in soon. That means nearly two-thirds of us are either in the game or preparing to enter it. If you are not, your business is at risk of creativity drain and relevance loss.

Ignoring AI is not a safe space. It is a decision to hand your competitive edge to someone else.

The companies that are already using AI are saving hours on routine tasks, gaining sharper insights from data, and freeing leaders to focus on strategy, team care, innovation, and yes, faith-filled impact.

For example, HR teams are using AI to forecast staffing needs and plan personalised development paths. A hospitality firm in Barbados has built an AI-driven scheduling system that reduces overtime and boosts satisfaction. (See link to article below). Across logistics and manufacturing, AI is helping predict demand, manage inventory, and streamline supply chains.

Yes, local SMBs are gaining global competency, one prompt at a time.

If you are running payroll, crafting weekly reports, responding to customer messages, or planning training, you already have repetitive tasks begging for AI support. Start small. Begin with tools you know, ChatGPT, Gamma, even Microsoft Copilot. Plug them into a weekly rhythm. Appoint someone (it could even be you!) to become your organisation’s Designated AI Learner.

As I have experienced first hand, this habit frees time and energy from admin grunt work. It shifts your mind from “How will I get this all done?” to “What if AI did the groundwork and I led with heart instead?” And when you solve that, your impact grows on your bottom line and on your people.

It is not just an automation play. It is a tool for magnifying service, elevating creativity, and empowering leadership. It does not replace the human touch; it enhances it. It does not demand a tech background, it invites beginner curiosity, and it certainly does not wait for you to “have time” to learn; it waits for you to choose to lead the change.

I invite you to look in the mirror. Are you ready to lead, or will you watch others do it? Appoint an AI learner. Test one prompt this week. Try one Gamma slide. Talk to your peers. Ask: How is this shifting your world, and where do you need help?

My mission is to walk alongside Caribbean professionals, especially leaders, entrepreneurs, and

HR professionals, so you not only survive but thrive in this AI era. Will you join?

Because when Caribbean businesses lean into AI with wisdom and heart, we would not just compete, we will innovate, we will serve, and we will leave a legacy. Let’s set our region ablaze with possibility. The time is now.
