Road repairs underway on leeward side of St Vincent

Commuters to the leeward side of St Vincent and the Grenadines are already enjoying improved road conditions{{more}} as the Governmentâs $5 million road repair programme gets underway.

Last Wednesday, a crew was repairing potholes in Questelles, having made similar repairs along the way from Kingstown.

Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves told Parliament last week that $2.5 million will go to the purchase of material for road repair while the other half will be used for road cleaning.

The project is expected to employ 4,000 people.(KXC)
