The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Association of Montreal has elected its new executive for the year 2006.

In its final meeting held on Sunday December 4, 2005, the general body elected the following persons to run the business of the organization for the new year:{{more}}

President: Thomas Austin (unopposed); Vice-President: Beatrice Robinson; Treasurer: Alfred “Jack” Dear (unopposed); Asst. Treasurer: Leo St. Hillaire General Secretary: Monica Homer; Asst. Secretary: Ray Weekes; Public Relations Officer: Noel Grant (unopposed); Members at large: Nicole John, Eli “Bill” Duncan, Stephen Spencer.

Among its many plans for this new year, the organization will be giving two (2) bursaries to students, one of whom will be pursuing studies at a University in Montreal/Quebec. This bursary will be name in memory of the late Alfie Roberts.

The other will be for a student pursuing studies at a college in Montreal/Quebec and will be name in the memory of the late President Noel King.
