Dr Ralph Gonsalves represents girl charged with attempted murder
AFTER ALMOST A QUARTER of a century, former Prime Minister, Dr. Ralph Gonsalves has returned to the courtroom for a ‘very, very rare and special occasion’ to serve as a lawyer representing his late school mate’s great granddaughter.
Dr. Gonsalves, alongside lawyer Ronald Marks, appeared at the Serious Offences Court yesterday, April 13, 2026 where Chief Magistrate Colin John presided, representing 16year- old Antonia Thomas, who has been charged with attempted murder.
After the matter concluded, Dr. Gonsalves, who is Leader of the Opposition in Parliament told members of the media not to expect his appearance in court every week as this appearance is meant to be a “very, very rare and special” occasion.
